The place was filled aqua net and leather and fans of all ages, literally I saw a 4 year old (I had to work very hard to refrain from rolling my eyes at his mother) and a very elderly (late 70s?) couple with toilet paper stuck in their ears. (CUTE!!!!)  Slash warmed up the crowd with several GnR songs and a couple of Velvet Revolver tunes.  When Ozzy came out, he started with a video montage of his face imposed on several movie and TV clips.  He was everything from a well endowed Avatar, to one of the GTL guidos, and finally Edward on Twilight, leering…”Vampires are pussies.  I’m the Prince of Fucking Darkness”.  And the crowd went WILD.

I won’t lie, the man still has it, after all these years.  His voice was flat out amazing.  I was in awe of his ability to still wail through  Crazy Train and Iron Man. He was constantly moving, jumping and waving his arms above his head.  Beckoning the crowd to  “Go Fucking Crazy!” All the while I knew I was witnessing a true legend…yet in the back of my mind, I worried. Ozzy is old. He walks sort of hunched over. I was never quite sure if he was holding hte microphone stand or if it was propping him up. He lumbered around the stage…soaking both himself and the audience with a large fire hose.  The man is still certifiable and fun, but he’s clearly used every bit of good in his 62 year old body.  He’s been performing for 43 years, and by all means, it is evident. 

So for you, I graciously recorded Ozzy singing Crazy Train. It’s not good, but I did it anyway…you don’t have to listen, in fact, I recommend that you DON’T, but just watch.
